Pregnancy, Urine Test

Description
The pregnancy test requires a first morning urine sample. The sample is measured for levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This test is specific for Beta hCG and offers sensitivity necessary to detect pregnancy as early as ten days post conception. This urine test is used to confirm pregnancy, but can also be used for the evaluation of threatened abortion, trophoblastic tumors, support for the diagnosis of testicular tumors, as well as ectopic hCG production by nontrophoblastic tumors.
